Ella’s Story
Our journey really began with Ella, our Lab and German Shepherd mix.
She didn’t just struggle with scratching or itchy skin. Her issues went much deeper and became much harder to watch.
Ella suffered from severe ear infections caused by yeast that was triggered by the wheat gluten in her food.
She would shake her head constantly. She scratched at her ear’s day and night, and we could tell she was uncomfortable almost all the time.
The vet bills started to climb because every three to four months she needed antibiotics just to bring the infection under control.
We were also cleaning her ears every week, and it became something she dreaded. We dreaded it too, because we knew she was hurting and we couldn’t seem to fix it.
It wasn’t until we learned the truth about what was actually in her food that everything changed. Once we removed the ingredients that were causing the yeast, her infections finally settled. The head shaking stopped, the scratching eased, her ears healed and her personality came back.
Seeing that transformation opened our eyes and changed our lives.
It’s the reason we do what we do today, and why we’re so passionate about helping other pet parents understand what their pets are really eating.

They remind us to keep this journey simple, warm and filled with love.

Why Oversight Matters in Pet Food
When has it ever benefited consumers or the environment when big corporations were allowed to operate without oversight? We have seen this in oil and gas, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
The same is true in the pet food industry, with one important difference. The end user isn’t the person buying the bag. The end user is your pet, and they can’t speak up.
That makes it far too easy for companies to put profits first, and it’s why pet parents deserve clarity and honest information.
